The Gentle Haven
A place where you are accepted, encouraged, and safe enough to become yourself again.
Sometimes life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or simply harder than it should. Whether you’re helping your child navigate big emotions, you’re a teenager discovering who you are, a young adult finding your place in the world, or an adult facing life’s unexpected challenges, everyone deserves a place where they can finally exhale.
My goal is to create that place for you.
I believe healing begins when people feel emotionally safe, genuinely heard, and accepted exactly as they are. Therapy should be a place where you never have to pretend, perform, or have everything figured out. It should be a place where you feel supported, encouraged, and reminded that you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Audrey Futrell, I work with children (8+), adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem concerns, and life’s many transitions.
I understand that every person’s journey is different. That’s why I enjoy creating individualized therapy experiences that meet clients where they are. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating creative interventions, play-based techniques when appropriate, and experiential approaches that encourage confidence, resilience, and personal growth. I enjoy helping clients discover practical tools they can use long after they leave my office.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, hiking, and kayaking. Spending time in nature reminds me that growth rarely happens overnight. Just as nature changes through every season, people also have an incredible capacity to heal, adapt, and flourish when they are given patience, encouragement, and the right support.
Whether I am working with a child, a teenager, an adult, or an older adult, I strive to create an environment where you feel emotionally safe, genuinely heard, and accepted. I believe people grow best when they know someone is walking beside them with patience, encouragement, and unwavering respect.
I believe therapy isn’t about becoming someone different.
It’s about discovering the confidence to become more fully yourself.
“Healing begins when you know you’re safe enough to simply be yourself.”
It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as you continue discovering your strengths and writing the next chapter of your story.
