The Authentic Path
Sometimes you know exactly what brought you to therapy. Other times, you simply know that something doesn’t feel right.
Maybe a relationship has lost its footing. Maybe something from your past continues to show up in the present. You may be navigating a transition you never expected, questioning who you are or what you want, or realizing that somewhere along the way, you’ve become disconnected from yourself.
You don’t have to have all the answers before you begin. And you don’t have to sort through it alone.
Therapy with me is a place where you can show up as you are—not as who you think you’re supposed to be. You don’t have to perform, have the right words, or make your story sound better than it feels. My role isn’t to hand you a script for how to live your life. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and discover what feels authentic and meaningful to you.
I bring both compassion and honesty into the counseling room. Sometimes healing requires gentleness. Sometimes growth asks us to look at something we’ve been avoiding. Often, it requires a little of both.
Therapy Built Around You
No two people enter therapy carrying the same story, relationships, experiences, or needs. Because of that, I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. Rather than asking you to fit into one particular model of therapy, I draw from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy to create an approach that fits you.
I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples navigating relationship concerns, intimacy and sexuality, trauma, anxiety, self-doubt, and significant life transitions.
I also have a special interest in working with military-connected individuals and families. Military life can bring experiences that others may not fully understand—from deployment and separation to reintegration, relationship changes, identity shifts, and the transitions that happen in between. Therapy can provide a place to make sense of those experiences while strengthening connection, communication, and your sense of self.
Finding Your Way Back to Yourself
Much of therapy is about becoming curious about the patterns we’ve carried—sometimes for years without realizing they were there.
How do you respond when you’re hurt?
What happens when you need something from someone you love?
What do you tell yourself when you make a mistake?
What parts of yourself have you learned to hide, minimize, or question?
When we begin understanding where those patterns came from and how they affect your life today, something important happens: you have the opportunity to choose differently.
You don’t need to know exactly where therapy will take you before you walk through the door.
You simply need a place to start.
I’ll meet you there.
“Authenticity isn’t something you find. It’s something you remember, one honest conversation at a time.”
